We provide 14 different unit sizes ranging from compact 1.0m × 1.0m spaces to expansive 8m × 4m units. Our practical approach ensures you only pay for the space you actually need—we'll help you select the most cost-effective unit size for your requirements.

What size unit do we have to offer?

We currently have 16 unit sizes ranging from a large garage down to a walk in locker-size, so you only need to pay for the space you really need.

When can I get access to my unit?

The office is normally manned between 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week. The office is closed Fridays, Weekends and Public Holidays. If you require access outside of these hours you can use your card to get entry through the automatic gate.

How is access controlled?

A proximity card is required to gain entry through the front street gate. Once inside the yard you may unlock the padlock on your unit door without setting off any alarms.

What about pest control?

Kawerau Secure Storage have 'bait stations' throughout the site and will maintain a regular pest control programme. We also have smaller bait stations to go inside the units. However it is important that you don't store foodstuffs because they can attract insects and vermin.

How can I pay?

You may pay by EFTPOS, cheque, cash, credit card or automatic payment from your bank.

When do I pay?

Storage hire is generally paid monthly in advance when moving in and pro-rated on a daily basis when you move out.

Can you provide insurance?

Self-storage insurance cover is not yet available. However we are negotiating regarding this feature and we hope to keep the costs very reasonable. Most insurance companies will cover the goods under "home and Contents insurance" BUT please check with your insurance company to confirm.

Can I purchase packing supplies from you?

We currently stock padlocks, but have not had the call to expand our range to include boxes, tape, bubble wrap, mattress covers and other items. We can advise you where these supplies are available.
